Data Deletation Request

At indiefilms100.com, we respect your privacy and provide users with full control over their personal data. If you wish to delete your account or request removal of your personal information, you may do so at any time by following the instructions below.

1. What Data Can Be Deleted

You may request deletion of:

  • Your user account

  • Personal profile information (name, email, bio, profile photo)

  • Uploaded content that belongs to you (if applicable)

  • Viewing history, favorites, and saved items

  • Any stored logs associated specifically with your account

Some information may remain in backups for security and legal compliance (see Section 5).

2. How to Submit a Data Deletion Request

To request deletion of your data, email us at:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Please include:

  • Your full name

  • The email address associated with your account

  • Optional: Reason for deletion (helps us improve, but not required)

We may ask for additional verification to ensure the request is legitimate.

3. Processing Time

Once your request is received:

  • We will verify your identity within 48 hours

  • Your data will be deleted within 7–14 business days

  • You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete

4. What Happens After Deletion

When your data is deleted:

  • Your account will be permanently removed

  • You will no longer be able to log in

  • Your films, comments, ratings, and any profile information will be erased

  • Any public content you uploaded may be removed or anonymized

Important: Deleted accounts cannot be restored.

5. Information We May Retain

For legal, security, or compliance reasons, we may retain:

  • Payment records (for tax/audit requirements)

  • Fraud or abuse flags

  • Server logs unrelated to your identity

  • Backup copies that auto-expire within a limited retention period

This retained data is never used for marketing or profiling.

6. Deleting Submitted Films or Content

If you want only specific content removed (not your entire account):

  • Tell us exactly which film or media to delete

  • We will remove it within 72 hours

7. Self-Deletion (If available)

If the platform allows in-dashboard deletion:

  1. Log in to your account

  2. Go to Settings or Account

  3. Click Delete Account

  4. Confirm your action
